Every gathering deserves a good table.

A lifetime of cooking for family and friends, now cooking for yours. Vegetables from the farmers market, goat cheese from a friend's farm, and a table your people will not want to leave.

The cook

Carol has been cooking her whole life. The catering part is new.

Her mother was an excellent and adventurous cook who kept a file labeled Recipes to Try Soon — and actually tried them. Carol grew up in that kitchen and never really left it.

She cooked her way through a career in nursing and hosted hundreds of gatherings for the people she loves along the way. Ask her family about the birthday dinners, where everyone gets to request their favorite — beef stroganoff, butter chicken, ribs out of the smoker. Ask them about Christmas morning and you will hear about the Eggs Benedict.

Now she is retired from nursing and cooking for other people's gatherings too. She shops the farmers markets for vegetables, gets goat cheese from a friend's farm and has her milk delivered. And she will cook almost anything you ask her to — a dish from your grandmother, something you ate on holiday, whatever the day calls for. She likes the challenge.

Everything is made by hand the week of your event. Nothing arrives frozen and nothing gets reheated twice.

Good food brings people together and lets them linger longer. Who is around your table matters more than what is on your table — let me help you with the delicious, interesting, comforting part, so you can get on with the gathering.

Not on the menu?

Ask anyway.

The list above is a starting point, not a limit. Most of what Carol cooks best never made it onto a printed menu — it got requested at a birthday dinner instead.

  • Beef stroganoff
  • Butter chicken
  • Ribs, out of the smoker
  • Eggs Benedict, if it is that kind of morning
  • Your grandmother's recipe, if you have it written down
How it works
01

Tell her about the day

The date, roughly how many people, and what kind of gathering it is. That's enough to start — you don't need to have picked dishes.

02

A quote comes back

An itemised menu and a real number, usually within a day or two. Change anything you like. A 50% deposit holds the date.

03

She cooks

Final guest count a week out. Then she shops, cooks, and shows up early. You don't think about food again.

Ask about your date

Tell her what you're planning. No obligation, no pressure, and she answers every one herself.
